Romani-Ite Domum (RID) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the educational and vocational advancement of marginalized Roma communities across Europe. We believe that access to quality education and skills training is crucial for empowering individuals, fostering self-sufficiency, and promoting social inclusion. RID works directly with Roma communities, local governments, and educational institutions to develop and implement programs that address the specific needs and challenges faced by Roma individuals. Our approach emphasizes community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and sustainable solutions that empower Roma communities to take ownership of their future. We strive to create a bridge between traditional Roma culture and the opportunities presented by modern society, facilitating a path towards economic independence and social integration. RID achieves its mission through a multi-faceted approach encompassing educational support, vocational training, and community development initiatives. We work to improve access to primary and secondary education for Roma children, offer specialized tutoring and mentorship programs, and facilitate adult education opportunities. In addition, RID provides vocational training programs in high-demand industries, equipping Roma adults with marketable skills and facilitating their entry into the workforce. We also foster community development by supporting local Roma-led initiatives and promoting dialogue between Roma communities and wider society.
